A festival of Connection • Presence • Musicality
What if we stopped learning more steps… and started feeling more?
Welcome to a different kind of Kizomba festival.
A festival where we strip the dance back to what brought many of us to Kizomba in the first place:
The connection. The music. The feeling of truly dancing together.
January 8th - 9th - 2027
Throughout the festival, different teachers will share their own perspectives and approaches – but every workshop will explore the same three foundations:
CONNECTION • PRESENCE • MUSICALITY
No complicated combinations to memorize.
No endless sequences of steps.
No pressure to perform.
Instead, we explore the space between two people. How do we listen to each other through the embrace?
How can the smallest movement become a conversation?
How do we stay present instead of thinking about what comes next?
How can we hear more in the music – and express it together?

Workshop Leaders
Nina Möller
Nina is the founder of Inre Natur, a space for personal growth, connection and holistic well-being in Örebro. With a professional background in social work, she has always had a deep interest in human connection – what happens when we truly meet, listen and allow ourselves to be present with another person. In her everyday work, Nina facilitates Närvarande Närhet (Conscious Connection), exploring communication, boundaries, presence and conscious touch.
Over the past few years, she has also been teaching connection in Modern Fox, with a focus on moving beyond steps and patterns and into listening, presence and communication through the body. Around ten years ago, she discovered Kizomba and has since fallen especially in love with Douceur. In her dancing, she explores how stillness, breathing and micro-movements can create magic – losing the sense of time and space and becoming completely absorbed in the connection. Like a meditation for two.

Agnes Hjelm
This Swedish powerwoman has been crazy about dancing for 18+ years.
With roots in vintage swing dancing such as lindy hop and charleston, experience in salsa, bachata and afrobeats, and a main focus on urbankiz and related styles (kizomba, tarraxo), she is a multi-faceted dancer with lots of personality and a highly developed following technique.
As an instructor she is known for her ability to explain abstract concepts in easily accessible ways, and for focusing equally on the followers and leaders in the classroom.

Lin
Lin has always been a dancer, but she is a super beginner in kizomba and couples dance. However, she har more than 20 years of experience form working with connection, whether it is physical, emotional or energetic.
She is an expert in guiding you in to states of melting together, where two bodies becomes one. Her work also allows you to find social courage, playfulness and bravery.
In her workshops you are guided to find ease in expression your authenticity and true expression of your emotions through movement.
At the festival Kiz n' Connect you will experience the soft fusion between tantra and kizomba together with Lin.

Christian Waaler
Technically, my dance falls under the Urban Kizomba umbrella, but I have deliberately chosen to call it Fusion Kizomba, as I have kept several of the fundamental principles of Kizomba. The style has proven to work well with most types of music played in social dancing. I dance to everything from traditional Kizomba music to Urban, Afro, and even certain pop songs. Keywords for my style: Flow and connection. Key elements/themes:
Frame, posture, steps, and listening to each other in every position. These are things I consistently emphasize in all my classes. Being able to lead and follow comfortably is far more important than cool tricks and moves. Above all, every move or figure should contribute to a deeper understanding of the dance. Secondly, it should be something that can be used in a social setting. Not every move will necessarily suit every dancer’s individual style. There is one fundamental question I always keep in mind: “Who are you, and how do you want to move?”
Dance is individual, and I am here to work with the most important fundamental principles, allowing each dancer to gradually discover and develop their own style
Örebro 8th to 9th of Janaury 2027

The fusion between dance and connection
We will work with things like body awareness, communication, leading and following, subtle movement, intention, listening, musical interpretation and the quality of the embrace.
And then we take it all to the dance floor.
Because this isn't about dancing more. It's about feeling more in what we already dance.
Whether you are relatively new to Kizomba or have been dancing for years, you are invited to slow down, listen deeper and discover new layers of connection.
Different teachers. Different perspectives. One shared intention.
No steps. No patterns. No tricks. Just connection. Workshops by day. Social dancing by night. Come as you are. Meet. Listen. Feel. Connect.

Finding your way to flavor your dance beyond the steps. Micromovements, musicality and space. How can both leaders and followers season the dance with a personal touch? Maybe invite some inspiration from other dance styles? Or include some consentual touch? How do we communicate that?

Slow down and level up
with Christian
Experience how to lead och follow with different parts of your body and explore how sublte your movements can be and still communicate shifts in energy, tempo and flow. Let the music inspire your movements and find a balance between taking initiative and just letting it happen.

The dance before the dance
with Lin
The art of creating a great experience starting with how we connect when we ask someone to dance and when we first touch. How can we mirror each other and feel connected in different ways that leads to those kind of dances where we forget time and space.
